The Basics of Rubber Floor Care
One of the biggest advantages of wet pour rubber flooring is its low maintenance requirements. However, a little regular care goes a long way in preserving appearance and extending lifespan.
Regular Cleaning
Weekly (or as needed):
- Sweep or blow away loose debris, leaves, and dirt
- Rinse with garden hose to remove dust
- For indoor areas, mop with mild soap and water
Deep Cleaning
Monthly or quarterly:
- Use a pressure washer on low setting (outdoor areas)
- Scrub with mild detergent and stiff brush
- Rinse thoroughly
- Allow to dry completely
Stain Removal
For common stains:
- Oil/grease: Apply degreaser, scrub gently, rinse
- Chewing gum: Freeze with ice, scrape off carefully
- Paint: Remove while wet; dried paint may need solvent
- Bird droppings: Soak with water, scrub, rinse
What to Avoid
Never use:
- Bleach or harsh chemicals
- Petroleum-based solvents
- High-pressure washing at close range
- Wire brushes or abrasive tools
Seasonal Checks
Twice yearly, inspect for:
- Lifting edges or seams
- Drainage issues
- Wear patterns in high-traffic areas
- Moss or algae growth (shaded areas)
Contact us if you notice any issues - most minor repairs are covered under our 5-year warranty.
